Katmai offers a variety of spaces for both work and play
One of the first things you'll do when you start using Katmai is build a space. A space is your virtual office where you and your team can meet, converse, collaborate, and more.
We talk about choosing your office architecture here. But let's review the types of spaces Katmai offers.
When you click Add a New Space button in your dashboard, you'll see a number of options to choose from.
A Central Office is our basic template. Each Central Office offers a number of co-working areas, conference rooms, and offices. To see the specs, click on an option. a popup window will appear telling you how many of each type of areas the space has.
Pro Tip: You can change your architecture at any time. If your team expands and you need more offices or additional co-working spaces, this article explains how to upgrade to meet your team's needs.
Each of the Central Office spaces is an indoor location with plenty of windows, a balcony for outdoor conversations, and doors for privacy. In short, it's what you would expect from an office space.
Want something a little more unique? We've got you covered.
Central Rooftop
The Central Rooftop is an open-aired, shared space, great for collaboration when you need to step outside the office environment. It offers...
One large meeting space with a projection screen for screen sharing and presentations.
Lounge areas with spaces for screen shares as well.
This space does not have private offices, but each of the couch areas are sound zones. Central Rooftop works best for larger meetups or group presentations.Katmai Penthouse
Want something a bit more elegant? Check out the Katmai Penthouse. The Katmai Penthouse breaks from the standard office look, with bar-top style seating, a theater projection space for presentations, and charming decor (even a fish tank!).
Additionally, the Penthouse provides:
- Shared work spaces with lounge-style seating.
- A theater for sharing your screen, or hosting movie night.
- A conference room with screen sharing for presentations.
- A small, intimate space for private meetings among individual team members.
And unlike a real-world penthouse office, the rent is very reasonable.
Katmaitai
This space is a tropical island designed for play. Bring folks here to frolic on sandy beaches, shipwrecked vessels, a water slide, and an outdoor lounge.
👉 Pro tip: While you can chose any skyline you want, Katmaitai works best with the Blue Sky option so you'll have the perfect weather for your island getaway with your team.
You can even go for a swim. But watch out for sharks! Yes, there are sharks in these waters. 🦈
