WorkAdventure is free for up to 10 users. Its Business plan starts at €8 per user per month, its Event plan at €4 per user per day, and self-hosting is available through sales. That buys an open-source 2D avatar office from Paris: your team moves pixel characters around a map, and video and audio open when avatars come close. Katmai is $25 per user per month for the other kind of virtual office: a photorealistic 3D office where your team works together on live video, with every feature included, no minimum number of users and free guests.
This guide is published by Katmai, which makes virtual office software. WorkAdventure prices come from WorkAdventure's own pricing page in October 2026 and are listed in euros; check it before you buy.

What the price does and doesn't include
- Free stops at 10 users. The eleventh person needs Business.
- "From" €8. That is the entry price. WorkAdventure's pricing page lists what larger or more demanding setups cost.
- Euros. US teams pay in euros, so the dollar cost moves with the exchange rate.
- Open source. The code is on GitHub, and self-hosting is available through sales for organizations that want it on their own servers. That is WorkAdventure's real differentiator.
- Pixel avatars. You see a 2D map and characters, not people.
What WorkAdventure costs a team
Ten users are free. Twenty-five users on Business cost from about €200 a month. Self-hosting trades the subscription for your own servers and your own maintenance.
